Kristine’s own struggles with dysphagia as a result of a paralyzed vocal fold has guided her passion for helping others. As a result, Dysphagia Services of Southeastern Pennsylvania provides an innovative, evidence based approach to individuals struggling with swallowing and the caregivers who support them.
The continuity of our services embraces not only the patient, but also supports the caregiver who is navigating difficulties by providing compensatory strategies, exercises to improve swallowing, and the creation of specific food textures/thickened liquids.
Our ability to offer dysphagia training and management services via telepractice allows for the patient to be seen quickly and safely during a time of social distancing and uncertainty.
Along with our in home visits, we are proud to provide services nationwide. Through telepractice, we can afford the convenience of meeting with individuals during meals, no matter the time zone.
Along with offering individual services, Dysphagia Services of Southeastern Pennsylvania offers the development, implementation and management of dysphagia programs to healthcare facilities such as adult residential service and long-term nursing facilities.
Dysphagia Services of Southeastern Pennsylvania has successfully established and maintained multilevel dysphagia programs for organizations providing residential care to individuals with dysphagia.
We will work closely with your organization to identify specific needs, along with developing and implementing setting-specific dysphagia training for staff while managing program needs.
